The Advanced Massage Techniques Course provides you with the in-depth knowledge required to carry out deep tissue massage techniques which can be used to alleviate many muscular conditions.
The course is suitable for those experienced massage practitioners wishing to upgrade their current skills.
The Advanced Massage Techniques Course provides you with an additional dimension to the massage treatment available for your clients.
You will learn to do a full body massage using Advanced Massage Techniques.
The Advanced Massage Techniques Course will allow to work with your client on their specific problem areas.
Course Content:
- Health and Safety - gives you the knowledge to ensure your advanced massage treatment is safe for you and your clients.
- Contra-indications relating to deep tissue massage - The extra contra-indications that relate specifically to advanced massage so that you can ensure that your clients enjoy the many benefits of receiving an advanced massage
- Contra-actions relating to deep tissue massage - You can explain the effects that your client can expect when having a deep tissue massage
- Practical Advanced Massage Techniques - you will learn to use deep tissue effleurage to warm up the deeper muscles, deep pettrisage and friction techniques to release muscle knotts. Neuro-Muscluar techniques to release muscle trigger points and the role of stretching to lengthen the muscles and increase their stamina.
- Client after-care advice - You can explain the effects that your client can expect when having an advanced massage.
- Referral to other professionals - You will learn when you should refer your client on to another professional if the client's problem is outside the scope of your knowledge.
Practical massage may be conducted upon other members of the course. You will each have an opportunity to carry out advanced massage techniques.
