Become a life coach by studying a life coach course at our VTCT accredited holistic training academy based in Glossop and within easy travelling distance of Manchester, Stockport, Sheffield, Buxton, Barnsley, Macclesfield, Huddersfield and Chesterfield.

Plus assessment day Course Introduction: The Life Coaching Diploma enables you to become a practising Life Coach, and enables you to obtain insurance to work with the public either from premises, from home or via the telephone. Life Coaching is a very powerful life changing tool. The Life Coaching Diploma we offer at Harmony House delivers a truly holistic approach to coaching. It is essential that a person and their life is treated as a whole and not just the specific component parts. This approach achieves harmony and balance, as each facet of life is not mutually exclusive but weaves between other threads of life and affects your mind, body and spirit accordingly. The Life Coaching Diploma course begins with a two day intensive training programme equipping you with the under-pinning knowledge required to become a coach, and the practical skills to become a coach. Once that course has been completed you are competent to then work with volunteers to complete your case studies. Completing the case studies will further cement your knowledge, and allow you to gain experience within the sector. Upon completion of the case studies you will be required to complete a thesis of 3000 words about a specific coaching matter that you are passionate about. Once your portfolio is complete, and you have fully completed your case studies and thesis in your own time, you may then request to have your final assessment. The final assessment comprises of a short written paper, and an observation of you in practice. The two day intensive; Day 1 Coaching? An introduction to coaching, from what is coaching, to why is there a need for coaching, who is to benefit from coaching, and where and when can coaching take place. Coaching and results. Getting the picture. How targets are identified and defined. SMART is it important? Behaviours, Beliefs, and Values. Repeating patterns of behaviour Self-talk. Negative spirals. Breaking out of cycles. Referral to other professionals. Coaching Communication. Verbal / Non-verbal Communication. Accent / Dialect. Listening skills. Tone. Timing. NLP? Is this a useful tool? Bringing it all together. Practical Experience. Guided coaching sessions with feedback. Coaching will be conducted upon other members of the course. You will each have an opportunity to carry out coaching sessions on other participants, as well as receive the benefits of coaching for yourself. After each session you will receive constructive feedback, from which you may fine tune your technique. Day two
Laying the foundations of your business Basic administration. Insurance. Accounting practices. Health and Safety. Data protection. Obtaining clients. Marketing presenting your practise to the world. Identifying who you are, what skills you have, and your unique selling point. Defining your target market. Methods of presenting yourself to the marketplace. Other professional services you may engage to help you. Converting enquiries into clients. CPD Continuous Professional Development. Coaching Log. Associations and links to other bodies. What next? Constructing your portfolio. Completion of case studies (Ten volunteers, six coaching sessions each.) Coaching log. Thesis. (3000 words on a coaching topic that you are passionate about.). Final assessment arrangements. Your individual coaching support. In addition to the above each course participant will be eligible for six complementary one hour coaching sessions with Katy Rogers LCH Dip, ATLM. These may be telephone coaching sessions, or in person. You may use your coaching sessions for your own personal development, to coach you through your diploma, or indeed to coach you through the process of setting up your own business.
